Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a physician's prescription?

No. North Carolina is a direct access state for Physical Therapists meaning a PT can treat you without a prescription or order from a doctor.

Can I use my insurance?

Finch Physical Therapy does not contract with insurance companies and is a cash based practice, meaning we do not bill insurance. Our care and treatments are not limited by what your insurance deems a service they will cover. As a cash based practice we are able to provide you the care you deserve and need without having to dispute with third party payers, having a co-pay and also discovering later that you have a remaining bill because part or all of your claims were denied by your insurance.

What payments are accepted?

Payment is due at the time of treatment. We accept cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, HSA and HFA payments.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Call 980-505-6891 to schedule your initial evaluation. Once your evaluation is scheduled please complete the medical history forms and consent to treatment located in the forms section or that are emailed to at least one day prior to your appointment so that the physical therapist can review them in advance to prepare for your evaluation.

Where is Finch Physical Therapy located?

We come to you! We can treat you in the location that is most optimal for you and meets your medical needs whether that be your home, your work place or gym if permitted by those businesses.

How far do you travel to treat patients?

We typically treat patients in the Lake Norman and greater Charlotte area. We may be able to travel depending on the distance and time involved with additional charges to be determined based on a case by case basis.

What do I wear?

Please wear clothing and footware that is comfortable and easy to move around in, preferably athletic wear and clothing that allows areas that exposes the area to be treated.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. If not the patient is responsible for the entire session cost. The cancellation fee can be avoided if the visit is rescheduled for the same calendar week and a visit time available.
